Our Intensive Outpatient Program
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is built for individuals who need more structured support than weekly therapy provides but don’t require inpatient or residential care. It can also be the right fit for people stepping down from inpatient or partial hospitalization settings. Sessions occur multiple times per week and combine individual therapy, group therapy, family sessions, and direct psychiatric support.
Program length typically ranges from four weeks to four months, depending on each person’s clinical needs and progress. Our IOP is covered by insurance, and our team works with individuals and families to navigate benefits before care begins. Sliding-scale fee options are available for patients who qualify.
Separate Tracks for Teens & Adults
We offer distinct IOP tracks for teens and adults because the clinical needs of these populations aren’t interchangeable. Teen programming accounts for the pressures specific to adolescence. Adult tracks address concerns tied to work, relationships, and the longer personal history adults bring into treatment.
Family therapy is a standard component of our IOP, not an optional add-on. Sessions involving all family members over age 12 are included as part of the program. We also offer marriage counseling as part of our broader care model.

Conditions & Approaches We Address
Our IOP is designed to treat a range of mental health conditions that benefit from structured, consistent care. Clinicians work with individuals experiencing major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and co-occurring substance use disorders, often called dual diagnosis.
Treatment draws on evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns; dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which builds skills for emotional regulation and distress tolerance; trauma-informed care; and motivational interviewing. Because participants continue living at home during IOP, the skills developed in sessions can apply directly to daily life.
Insurance & Financial Access
Cost is one of the most common reasons people delay mental health care, and we work to remove that barrier. We accept most commercial insurance plans, and our IOP is covered by insurance. Before treatment begins, our team works with you and your family to understand your benefits and what to expect financially. We’re now accepting Bucks County Medicaid/HealthChoices, expanding access for patients across the region, and sliding-scale fee options are available for patients who qualify. If you have questions about coverage, call us at (215) 491-9900 and we can help you sort it out.
